This idea came to mind when I was remembering going to Coney Island beach with my father and siblings. We always went to the amusement park and ate cotton candy. Those were some of my sweet memories at the beach.
I've always been fascinated by all things small, odd and sweet. It wasn't long before I discovered my mother's box of trinkets and started wearing them for fun. Growing up in New York City, I found that people wore jewelry to accentuate their wardrobe and I personally used jewelry to express my moods, personality and style. I started creating my own "statement" pieces 6 years ago and haven't stopped since then. When I am not designing jewelry, I am busy exploring Minnesota with my family and teaching at the Jefferson Community School in Minneapolis.
Candied Yams partnered with Parc Boutique to host its second trunk show on February 25, 2012. It was a big success! Thanks to everyone who came out to support local artists~ especially my Ramsey family!
MNfashion Organization featured Candied Yams Jewelry at their annual holiday pop-up boutique in downtown Minneapolis.
